Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Eliz Luxury Hair collects when you browse or shop with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We only ask for what we need to process orders, support customers and run the store.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details — name, email address or phone number, date of birth, gender and a hashed password when you create an account. Date of birth is used to confirm you are 18+.
  • Order details — items purchased, delivery address, order history and the contact details used at checkout.
  • Booking details — the service, appointment date/time, your name, phone, optional email and any notes you add when booking.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment providers (Paystack / Hubtel / mobile money). We receive a payment reference and status, never your full card number or PIN.
  • Support messages — anything you send through the feedback form, email or WhatsApp.
  • Technical data — basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, confirm you are 18 or older, and sign you in.
  • To process, pack, deliver and support your orders.
  • To manage service bookings and send booking confirmations, completion notices and reminders.
  • To send you an annual birthday message if you have given us your date of birth and a phone number.
  • To send transactional messages such as order confirmations, payment receipts and delivery updates.
  • To detect fraud, prevent abuse and keep the store available and secure.
  • To understand which products and pages are useful so we can improve the shop.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage to keep your session, cart, wishlist, comparison list and theme preference working. We do not sell advertising profiles. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings, though the cart and sign-in state will reset.

4. Sharing

We share only what is necessary with the people who help us run the store: payment providers, delivery partners, email/SMS providers and our hosting provider. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it or to protect the store and its customers.

5. Retention

Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, warranty and legal obligations. Account details — including date of birth and gender — are kept until you ask us to delete them, unless we must retain a record by law. Booking records are kept for appointment history and customer support. Birthday messages are logged so we do not send more than one per customer per year.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Update your name, gender, photo and single delivery address from My Account.
  • Your login email or phone number and date of birth are locked for account security. Contact us to correct them.
  • Ask us to stop birthday messages or other optional messages at any time.
  • Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy or deletion.

7. Security

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, checkout and account forms are protected against cross-site request forgery, and payment callbacks are verified with the provider before an order is marked paid. No online system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

8. Age requirement and children

Accounts are only available to people aged 18 or older, and we ask for a date of birth to verify this. The store is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will close it and remove the data.

9. Messages and notifications

We send transactional SMS messages for orders, payments and bookings, plus an annual birthday wish when you have shared a date of birth and phone number. These messages are part of the service and are not sold or shared with advertisers. Ask us at any time to stop birthday or other optional messages.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the store or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and material changes will be highlighted on the site.
